The story of Gold

The project was completed while working as part of Lokusdesign, Pune

P.N.G. Jewellers is a jewellery brand in Maharashtra, India which is synonymous with honesty and integrity. Dajikaka Gadgil was the driving force behind this family- run business, and his vision and hard work brought P.N.G. Jewellers at par with the world market.

A much loved and admired personality in Pune, the exhibition, which opened on his centenary birth year, honours his life and work.

It was designed as an audio-guided exhibition with commissioned art pieces to build an engaging story,  

​

The story of the purification of gold mirrors Dajikaka's trials and tribunals in life. This narrative is spatially juxtaposed with a faceted installation in the central space, and chronological events surrounding it.
